RESERVISTS' RIGHTS: A Stateside Battle

Today more than 55,000 reservists and members of the National Guard are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. For many, the battles aren't always over when their active duty ends. Some return home to fight on another front-for the jobs they left behind.

This story focuses on one member of the National Guard who was fired from his job when he was called to active duty. After being wounded in Iraq, and returning home, he was unable to get his job back, and faced six months of unemployment before finding a new position. An American Bar Association report details the problems service members are facing and what is being done to protect their rights.
